The Rapson rocking chair honours the architect’s original design but realises it in recycled and recyclable plastic, made from reclaimed HDPE milk jugs.
The high-backed patio chair is part of the Rapson Collection, a collaboration with the Rapson family to honour the key figure in American modernist architecture and design, who died in 2008.
Each of the pieces brings to life one of Rapson’s drawings, many for the first time, and all in recycled plastic.
The chair is made for the circular economy, with components that can be easily removed and replaced in case of damage.
It is available in nine colours and can withstand all seasons outdoors. It is available in the UK through The Collective Agency.
