According to Lissoni, the designs take cues from the “classical language of outdoor wood furniture” to offer a timeless aesthetic.
“I designed a collection while thinking of classical outdoor furniture and what we imagine is classical outdoor living, a bit as if these pieces have always existed,” the Italian architect explained.
“The styling is not only reassuring for those seeking a classic look but also meets the requirements of those looking for furniture designed for the typical settings and environments of today’s world,” Roda added.
The Levante collection is made from teak, a species of tropical hardwood that was chosen for its durability in outdoor environments. These slats are bolted together with stainless steel fastenings, which according to Roda offer both “style and functionality”.
The dining range forms part of a wider collection of outdoor furniture created for Roda by Lissoni, which also includes the Levante lounge chair and chaise longue.
