Giroflex 353 swivel chair and conference chair in an office

Dezeen Showroom: Swiss industrial designer Paolo Fancelli has designed the Giroflex 353 family of matching office chairs for Flokk-owned brand Giroflex.

The Giroflex 353 range includes a Swivel, Conference and Visitor’s version, allowing one cohesive design language to extend across every room in the workplace.

The Swivel version is a desk chair that can be fine-tuned to the needs of the occupant, with Giroflex‘s Automatic Move mechanism helping to optimise back pressure based on body weight.

It has a five-arm base with castors and can incorporate an optional headrest or clothes hanger.

The Conference chair can be set on castors or gliders and has a flexible back that makes it ideal for meetings, while the more pared-back Visitor’s chair has a cantilever or four-legged base that allows it to be stacked to save space.

Each of the products is Cradle to Cradle Certified, meaning Giroflex takes back old chairs to be recycled in a bid to extend their lifecycle.

Giroflex 353 is among several office chairs that Fancelli has created for the Swiss brand since 1996, and has been honoured with both a German Design Award and a Red Dot Award.
